From Family to Neighborhood
Groundwork understands that out-of-school enrichment approaches are necessarily limited. In order to help the youth in a given community succeed, all of the institutions of that community - schools, police, hospitals, housing managers - must be aligned to the best interests of young people.
We believe that Groundwork can maximize its impact by organizing parents in the communities we serve around issues they deem are critical to the development of their children.
The Community Organizing project, our newest program, works to give Groundwork families the tools they need to become effective, organized advocates for their children.
